Silent Hill Shattered Memories Impressions
I'll cut this for people who haven't finished it... But before I do... did anyone realize that the theme song "Always on my Mind" is a remix of a Elvis song? I didn't know that. It sounds so dramatically different I had no idea till a friend who was over said it. I was floored. if only real men were like rafe lol. i used to find him as luis on passions to be really irritating but im loving him on days a lot. im finding him much much more attractive too lol. and i love that brady and arianna are also from passions. i know theyve been on there for awhile and ive been meaning to post my liking to them for awhile now too lol. does anyone have any theories who the woman who took sydney is? possibly an old character? is nicole wearing a wig or did she really get a new 'do? |

So I hear everyone's sad over Yamaoka leaving. WELL DON'T BE SAD CHILDREN LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO THE WORLD OF DARK AMBIENT In my humble opinion, I'm pretty glad he's moved on and that they'll be able to find another person to compose the music. His stuff was good, but it just didn't seem very appropriate for the subject matter after SH2. :[a My own opinion though, as I know oodles of people love his stuff and that's all good BUT YES ONTO THE INTRODUCTION To give people hope that yes there are INCREDIBLEEEEEEEHHXJAKFSDG dark ambient groups and composers out there that will be able to do just as wondrous a job as Yamaoka did in his heyday, allow me to introduce you all to the man behind the soundtrack of a little movie called Philosophy of a Knife, Alexander Shevchenko. Shattered Memories
SOME MINOR SPOILERS!!So I played through about the first 1/3 of Shattered Memories today. My real-time reactions are here if anyone's curious. I need you guys to tell me that it gets better later in the game. Because I don't know if I can handle this much longer. It's not scary because there's no threat if you're not in Otherworld, so you're just roaming in the snow from place to place. There's no puzzles, there's no real meaning to any of it. I get so bored playing through those parts of the game. And then Otherworld comes and all of a sudden it's ridiculously hard for absolutely no reason at all, and there's no room to think or do anything because you have to focus on running and getting to the next door and nothing else. Someone please tell me there's more to the game than this and I didn't waste about $60 on a shit game and its strategy guide. I guess some of the new story is interesting, but not enough for me to justify the money I spent. Please tell me it gets better. edit; I've made it to the halfway point, and my opinions... haven't really changed much. More reactions here. Ignore the stupid RP meme at the top. |

Have a Merry Silent Hill Christmas!
Alright ladies and gents, I just HAD to share this here. I'm a shopaholic, and I love Silent Hill. I was browsing the interwebs for Silent Hill Fanmerch, and I do this often on all those special custom sites (Etsy, Zazzle, Cafepress), and found quite a few treasures to share. I've come across awesome things, such as a Steel Pipe shirt, Robbie the Rabbit Plushies, There Was a Hole Here shirt, Heaven's Night Totebag, and a rather nice Save Points Mousepad. However, I think the funniest one I've seen that made me impulse buy was this dandy little treasure. (And yes, I bought one.) Anyways, thought I would share.
